Mario Raymond Belluscio 87, of Olive Branch, MS, owner of Mario Belluscio Construction Co. of Memphis TN, passed away of heart failure Friday, August 21st at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto. He was a native of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Mr. Belluscio graduated from Jefferson High School followed by enlisting in the US Air Force. He was a First Lieutenant with the 71st Troop Carrier Squadron, 434th Troop, 9th Air force European Theater. Immediately after he received his FAA commercial pilot license and enjoyed flying for personal pleasure through out his life. Mr. Belluscio worked for Dupont and Simpson Lumber co. in Holly Springs, MS. He then started his own home improvement business in 1956 and retired in 1985. He later came out of retirement to work as project manager for Trivest Corp. in Olive Branch, MS. He was a deacon and active member of First Baptist Church in Memphis Tn. Mr. Belluscio the husband of Mozelle Hurdle Belluscio for 64 years, also leaves three daughters, Carol Warren and Ramelle Orman of Olive Branch, MS, and Dawn Walls of Oakland, TN. He leaves four grandchildren, Leigh Anne Tupper and Mundy Easley of Olive Branch Ms., Justin Walls of Oakland, TN. and Angie Heath of Jackson, TN. along with 8 adoring great-grandchildren. The family will receive family and friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 23 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, located at 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN. The service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, August 24 at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5668 Poplar Ave. followed by private family entombment at Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family requests that any memorials be sent to First Baptist Church of Memphis Tn. or St Jude Children's Hospital.
