Aloys Paul Bichsel, 48 years old, of Washburn, died yesterday afternoon in a local hospital as the result of injuries received a week ago when a cow gored him.

Mr. Bichsel formerly lived at St. Francis, where he was one of the leading farmers in the community. He was forced to move from his farm four years ago when Pantex Ordance Plant bought the property and lived at Washburn since that time.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Bichsel; two sons, Maynard J. and Claybourne J. Bichsel, and two daughters, Frances E. and Regene R. Bichsel, all of Washburn.

Other survivors include his father, Joseph Bichsel, White Deer; five brothers, John, Amarillo; Joe, Monette; Leo, White Deer; Tony, Monday, and Englebert, Panhandle; and three sisters, Mrs. Anne Wild, White Deer; Miss Caroline Bichsel, Monday, and Sister M. Claudia, Little Rock, Ark.

Mr. Bichsel was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus.

A rosary was said last night at the Boxwell Brothers Chapel, and the body will be taken this afternoon to the family home at Washburn, where another rosary service will be held at 8 o'clock tonight.

Funeral services will be held at the Catholic Church at St. Francis at 10 o'clock Saturday morning.
