Haskell - Mildred Young, age 89, of Haskell, died Sunday, January 15, 2006, at Haskell Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at Willow Cemetery in Haskell, with Pastor Daniel Echols officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Holden McCauley Funeral home of Haskell.
Mrs. Young was born February 23, 1916, in New Hope, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Alec and Lonie Carson.
She married Dennis Young on October 16, 1937, in Nashville, Arkansas.
Mildred was a Christian homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren.
After the retirement of her husband, they spent many happy years traveling.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, a son Jerry Young, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Mildred is survived by her husband Dennis young of Haskell; a daughter Shirley Sloan and husband Dickie of Rochester; 6 grandchildren - Ron Young of Lubbock, Tacy Graham of Canton, Ohio, Scott Sloan of Shallowater, Lance Sloan of Rochester, Kurt Sloan of Conroe, and J. J. Young of Ruidoso, NM; and 6 great-grandchildren.
