----------------------------------------------------------------
Sad indeed was the news passed over the wires Saturday, Aug. 24th, when it was known that the brave spirit of Dr. J.E. Lindsey had passed to be with his God. He was an old and much-loved citizen and physician of Haskell. Dr. Lindsey was nearing his 59th birthday and had been a consistent member of the Baptist church since he was 18 years of age. His wife has lost a good and devoted husband, his children a fond and
devoted father.
