ShaRon C. Buchanan Jones, 80, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away at home on Thursday, June 19, 2014. She was born August 8, 1933 in Malad City, Idaho, to Edward N. and Estella Crowther.
ShaRon married Delmer E. Buchanan on May 21, 1954, in the Logan Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They bought a dairy farm in Meridian, Idaho, in 1955 and there made their home. They were blessed with four children, Marlo Delmer, Kelvin C, Eldon C, and Tamara. Delmer passed away on February 14, 1976. On September 20, 1976 ShaRon married Woodrow (Woody) Lee Jones. They settled in Council, Idaho, and lived there until 1997 at which time they sold their ranch and moved to Emmett, Idaho. Woody passed away on May 2, 2008.
ShaRon was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many areas of responsibility. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She had an infectious smile that came from within. She loved everyone and everyone loved her.
She is survived by her children, Marlo Buchanan (Cary Ann) of Toppenish, Washington, Kelvin Buchanan (Carolee) of Schertz, Texas, Eldon Buchanan (Leslie) of Smithfield, Utah; and Tammy Breivik (Steven) of Emmett, Idaho; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Lewis of Orem, Utah and Sandra Jones of Hawthorne, Nevada; a sister Valene Turner of St. George, Utah; 26 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
ShaRon was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Neal Crowther, Gordon Crowther, and Berthel Crowther; sisters, Margaret Harris, Lucille Howse, and Leonore Bassett; and three grandsons, Nicholas White, Curtis Buchanan, and Tyler Buchanan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Emmett LDS Stake Center, 980 W. Central Road, Emmett. Viewing will be held on June 24, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett and beginning at 9:30 AM the morning of the funeral service at the Church. Interment will be in the Meridian Cemetery, Meridian, Idaho.
