She was born January 2, 1906, at Meridian, where she was reared and educated. Her parents being John Ervin and Helen Edith (Dunkin) Voorhees. She married Guy Bowers, June 21, 1927, at Boise, Idaho. They had lived on West Franklin Rd for 35 years.
She was a member of the Meridian United Methodist church, Royal Neighbors of America, Pleasant Hour Ladies Club and Modern Woodman.
Surviving are her husband, Guy; a son, Don Bowers both of Meridian; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Meier, Boise and Mrs. Laveril Gibson, Meridian; two brothers, Marion and Jerry Voorhees; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Doolin, all of Boise; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Jerry and Larry Bowers, Ronald and Myron Breshears and David Gibson.
