THOMASVILLE - Donald Leon McDaniel Sr., 57, of 5259 E. Holly Grove Road, died Sunday, March 12, 2000 at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, Thomasville, with the Rev. Gary Brown officiating. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was a native of Davidson County, retired from Harris Teeter as a truck driver, and was a member of Christian Life Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, Scarlett Peters McDaniel of the home; daughters, Crystal Dawn Colflesh of Delaware, Mary Lou Teal of Asheboro, Eva Alice Potts of Trinity; sons, Donald Leon McDaniel Jr. of Asheboro, James McDaniel of Germany, James David Butler of Lexington; mother, Gladys Reece McDaniel of Thomasville; brothers, Bobby McDaniel, Walter McDaniel Jr. and Frank McDaniel, all of Thomasville; 11 grandchildren.
