Benjamin Franklin Rowe Jr.
Gloucester - Benjamin "Benny" Franklin Rowe Jr., age 81, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Williamsburg Community Hospital.
He was a commercial waterman and of the Protestant faith. Benny was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 886, Gloucester. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Rowe.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary West and husband, Gordan, and Stella Jenkins and husband, Warren; two sons, Frankie Rowe and George "Buddy" Rowe; one brother, James Edward Rowe; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Fred Reed, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
