After graduation from Coventry High School, Bud married Dreena Dague. No children were born of the Union and that marriage ended in divorce. He next married Linda Podobnik and three children were born of their union: 2 sons and 1 daughter.
He was a member of the Goodyear Hunting & Fishing Club and was very much into sports. He coached little league baseball for many years.
When Bud's wife Linda died in 1987, a double headstone was erected for them both at Holy Cross Cemetery. Bud eventually remarried. He and his third wife will be buried together at this location in York Cemetery.
