"Jefferson, Ohio - Eugene H. Lowe, age 89, of Lenox-New Lyme Road, Jefferson, died Thursday morning, March 15, 2012, in the Hospice Unit at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Akron, the son of Herbert C. and Fredricka L. (Drexler) Lowe. Eugene was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in WWII.
He worked quality control for Warrenton Rubber located in Georgia, for many years and retired in 1988. He left Georgia and moved to this area in 1991. On Sept. 23, 1999, in Madison, he would happily marry Donna Musgrave.
He was a member of First Baptist Church. He also enjoyed farming and in his spare time fishing and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Julia "Judy" E. (Holm) Lowe in 1995; a son, William A. Lowe; two grandchildren, Gregory and Rachel Lowe; two brothers, Roy and Robert Lowe; and a sister, Virginia Henry.
Funeral Services will be 4 p.m., Monday, March 19th, at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Jerry Bentley, of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont Township.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until time of Service, Monday, at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004."
