ANDERSON, Albert D. “A.D.”, age 79, passed away Friday morning, July 1, 2005 at the United Regional Nursing Center in Manchester. He was born on May 10, 1926 to his parents, the late Albert Anderson and Hassie Ethel Enos Anderson. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Winton and Betty Farrar.
Mr. Anderson served as a Supervisor with the Batesville Casket Company in Manchester for over 12 years. He also worked with the Cumberland Mountain Sand Company in Hillsboro for 22 years. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Among his many interest, he especially enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Patty A. (Jackie Thomas) Sissom of Hillsboro; son, Hank D. Anderson of Hillsboro; brother, Billy (Francis) Anderson of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Taylor M. Anderson of Hillsboro, Tyler L. Anderson of Winchester, Lacey D. (Josh) Cooley of Winchester and Teresa Sissom of Manchester; one great-grandchild, Mason Cooley of Winchester; special friends, Carolyn Hollingsworth and James Winton and a host of friends, neighbors and loved ones.
The Family received friends at the Visitation on Saturday evening, July 2, 2005, from 5 – 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Service was conducted on Sunday afternoon, July 3, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Danny Anderson officiating. Burial followed at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hillsboro.
