Chloe Peckham Sisson was a founding member of the Easton Political Equality Club in 1891, along with her sister Emily Peckham, sister-in-law Mary Eddy Peckham and seven others. Additionally Chloe was the first female Washington County delegate to the Republican State Convention following passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920.

Chloe Peckham was the daughter of Joseph Wilbur Peckham 1818 – 1883 and Elisabeth Gifford 1821 – 1898. In 1867 she married William Burton Sisson 1843 – 1909. They had four children:
