Ernest Terry Rites Held Sunday At Old Liberty Church

Rites for Ernest Terry, widely known resident of Town Creek, were held Sunday afternoon at the Old Liberty Church by the Rv. Dee Montgomery and the Rev. Lee Waldrop.

Mr. Terry, who was 64, died at his home at 7:45 Saturday morning after a brief illness. He was a life-long county resident and a Methodist.

Surviving are his wife, Idella Terry, Town Creek; seven sons, Bill, Elvie, Dennis, Rubert, Noah, Junior, and James Terry; three daughters, Mrs. Birchie Mardis, Town Creek 3, and Mrs. Ruby Garrett.

He is also survived by two brothers, Steve and Jim Terry; and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Terry and Mrs. Lona Terry.

Pallbearers were Mr. Terry's seven sons.

Burial was made in Old Liberty cemetery, Highsmith directing.
