Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Merryman, 71 years of age, were held Sunday afternoon at Highland cemetery, with Rev. Ernest Harrison of Haskell conducting the services. Funeral arrangements were handled by W.N. Kinney of the Stamford Undertaking Company.

Mrs. Merryman was once a resident of Stamford but for the past 17 years had made her home with her son in Houston. Death followed an illness of more than six weeks. Body was brought here to be buried beside that of her husband.

Surviving: two sons and two daughters - Oscar Merryman of Houston; Edgar Merryman of Brownsville; Mrs. Edgar Adams of Hamlin and Mrs. Erwin of Houston.
