Mr. Hale died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, in Lawton.
Burial will be in Paradise Valley Cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher (formerly Robbins Funeral Home).
He was born Feb. 19, 1932, east of Sterling, to James Barthy and Mozelle Henderson Hale. He married Patsy Lou McClung on Dec. 23, 1952, north of Lawton. He had worked as a crew chief at Spartan Aircraft at Fort Sill. He was then a dairy farmer for 25 years and then farmed and ranched for 30 years. He started the Paradise Valley Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Comanche County Fair Board and the FHA Board. He was a member of Paradise Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter; Pam Hale, north of Lawton; a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Rhinda Hale, Great Falls, Mont.; four grandchildren: Lewis and Sarah McCracken, north of Lawton; Vanessa Hale, Adam Hale and Zechary Hale, all of Great Falls; a great-granddaughter, Autumn McCracken, north of Lawton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Elda McCracken, Central High; Pearlie and Melvin Julian, east of Sterling; and Mary and Jimmy Al Wright, Sterling, a brother and sister-in-law, Randell and Linda Hale, Elgin; three sisters-in-law; Nancy Hale, Fletcher; Vicki Hale, Noble; and Donna Hale, Sterling; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers: Sonny, Bill and Sam Hale.
