daughter of the late Irwin and Mary Parsell Cook.
She was a 1945 graduate of Randolph Central School and had attended Fredonia State College. She had worked as a book-
keeper for several Ran- dolph businesses, including Metallic Ladder and Aeolian Piano Inc., Foundry Division and later after retirement worked at the Randolph Union Free
Academy as a teacher's aide. Rose was well known for her superb baking and cooking abilities. She delivered her
precious dishes to many friends and neighbors in the community. She is survived by three daughters: Laura (Ernest) Peterson of Randolph, Vicki (John) Flood of Little
Elm, Texas, and Jennifer (Gregory) Breit of Windber,Pa.; seven grandchildren: 11 great-grandchildren; andone great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to herparents she was preceded in
death by an infant brother and husbands: Harold
Strickland in 1966 and Stanley Abbey in 1998.
