DEXTER, IA. – Roy E. Parker, 81, of Dexter died of a respiratory ailment Friday at Greene County Hospital in Jefferson. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home in Redfield. Burial will be in Dillavou Cemetery in Scranton.
Mr. Parker was born in Greene County and lived in Dexter for 24 years. He was a retired owner and operator of a lawn mower repair business.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; four sons, Robert of Evansdale, Russell of Winterset, Norman of Jefferson and Marion of Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Dorothy Bohm of Oakland and Phyllis Rosenberger of Churdan; two brothers, Charlie of Raven Den Springs, Ark., and Ralph of Eldora; four sisters, Cora Oakes of Laurens, Alice Cook and Esther Brinker, both of Waterloo, and Mae Jensen of Redfield; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call today after 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
