Jeff was born April 30, 1958 in Peoria, IL the son of Gerald and Wanda (McWilliams) Rose.
He is survived by one son, Ryan Rose of Chillicothe, his sister; Jamie Rose of Chula vista, CA, two nephews; Todd and Sean Tortorici of Chula vista, one niece; Jenna (Chris) Peterson of Boston, Massachusetts. Also surviving are three God children; Aaron, Joshua, and Kristen Porter of Fairfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jeff's careers have taken him to many different locations around the country. He delivered for Nabisco, worked oil drilling in Fairfield, IL, managed Pizza Hut in Worcester, Massachusetts, drove a big rig cross country, was a correctional officer for three years at Stateville Correctional Center, was a black jack dealer on the Riverboat in Peoria and more recently a manager for Pizza Hut in Chillicothe.
Jeff's hobbies included camping, canoeing, gardening, singing Karaoke and playing the organ. He is an animal lover and cherished his dog, "Stormy" the puppy he rescued from the freeway during a rain storm. More recently he began a candle making business which was influenced by his grandmother, Myrtle McWilliams.
Private family service will be held Saturday at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rescue 33, ASPLA or American Lung Association.
