Eleanor Stevenson
Mrs. Eleanor Allison Stevenson, 315 Indiana Ave., Chester, wife of Orrin B. Stevenson, died this morning at 1:55 at City Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 64. Mrs. Stevenson was born in Chester, Aug.1, 1900, to the late Walter Allison and Nellie Bunting Allison. She and her husband moved to Frankfort Springs about 25 years ago, where they operated a grocery store. They returned to Chester two years ago. She was a member of the Frankfort Springs Presbyterian Church, the Chester Women's Club, Burgettstown Chapter 215, Order of Eastern Star, Frankfort Springs Grange and the Supreme Council of Amaranth Holy Grail No. 60. Besides her husband, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Carrie) Mickets of Delmar, N. Y., and Mrs. Kenneth (Josephine) Kimble of Chester, and two brothers, Eugene Allison and Dwight Allison, both of Chester. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Chester Arner Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Donald L. Bell of the Chester Westminster United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown. Friends may call at the chapel Thursday afternoon and night.
