Susanna Ames Grant Farrow (Farra)
Susanna was the daughter of Elijah and Elizabeth "Betty" Johnson Ames. She married first John Grant. Marriage bann dated 19 Mar 1794. He was born 3 June 1764. He died in or near Baltimore April 1813. She married second Oliver Farra 1828. After he died Susanna used the Grant surname in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. She was the mother of at least nine children. Sources: letter written by her son George W Grant dated 8 Mar 1889 and "Descendants of William Ames"
She was a descendant of Mayflower passenger Francis Cooke.
Note: In addition to the children listed below there were two daughters, Mary born 4 March 1796 married Evan Jones, and Ann born 12 Oct 1802 married Israel McNulty.
Two of Mary and Evan's children are Elizabeth Ann Jones and Mary Ellen Jones.
