Emily Sue Shaffer, 73, DuBois, a former employee of Thrift Drug in the St. Marys Plaza, St. Marys, died Monday at her home.
Born June 3, 1936, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Harriet Roadarmel Bergstrom. She was married to Wayne L. Shaffer Jan. 3, 1954, at Trinity of the Evangelical Church. He survives.
She attended DuBois Schools.
She was a homemaker and was Protestant by faith.
She is also survived by one son, Stephen Shaffer of St. Marys; two daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Denise) Sarnoski of Truman and Mrs. Anthony (Cynthia) Gerg of St. Marys; one sister, Beverly Seger of Grampian; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Valerie Shaffer; and one brother, Richard Bergstrom.
