Marie Walsh was the fourth wife of Mark Raymond Harrington. Mark and Marie were married on 23 April 1949. Mark Raymond Harrington was the son of Mark Walrod Harrington and Rose Smith Harrington and the grandson of Dr. James Harrington and Charlotte Walrod Harrington.

"Museum Head Weds Editor in Riverside
Mark Raymond Harrington, nationally known archeologist and curator of the Southwest Museum here, was married in Riverside yesterday to Miss Marie Toma Walsh, Los Angeles editor.

The two took their vows in a double-ring ceremony in St. Thomas' Catholic Church in Arlington, a Riverside suburb. The ceremony was preceded by a nuptial Mass pronounced by the Rev. David J. McAstocker.

Mr. Harrington is one of the nation's recognized authorities on the American Indian. He was consultant in the restoration of La Purislma Mission, Lompoc, and Is at present adviser on reconstruction of the San Fernando Mission. He is a veteran of nearly 50 years of archeologlcal exploration.

Miss Walsh, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Walsh of Los Angeles and San Francisco, formerly was city editor of the Indio News and presently is assistant editor of the California Farmer in Los Angeles. The couple will make their home In San Fernando."

Clayton Walsh was born on 5 April of 1875, in California and died on 5 July 1942, in San Francisco. He was the son of Katherine Austin Walsh.

Toma Iverson Walsh was born on 23 February 1879, in Australia and died on 8 August 1948, in Los Angeles County, California. In 1946, Toma and Marie Walsh resided at 2330 Crenshaw Boulevard, in Los Angeles.

Marie Walsh Harrington authored several books, among them a biography of Mark Raymond Harrington, titled "On the Trail of Forgotten People: A Personal Account of the Life and Career of Mark Raymond Harrington", published by Great Basin Press, of Reno Nevada.
