Mark Andrew Davis, 69, of Hope-Mills, NC, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 in Fayetteville, NC. He was born in Pulaski County on June 30, 1939 and was the son of the late Henry A. Davis & Effie R. Adams. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Pierce Adams, Henry A. Davis, Jr., Thomas Davis and Kyle A. "Bobby" Davis, and sisters, Evelyn Bratton and Lula Dawn Richardson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are daughter, Debbie Amos, Ridgeway, VA; grandson, Christopher Amos, Ridgeway; sisters, Louise Harris and Iris Pennington, both of Barren Springs, Elizabeth Seagle, Dublin; brothers, Joseph Earl Davis, Richmond, James Roy Davis, Bassett. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, with Rev. Danny McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Wythe County, with the Radford VFW Post #776 conducting the military graveside rites. Visiting will be Sunday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
