Mrs. Margaret Armstrong
ARMSTRONG, Mrs Margaret V, 60, of 57 Midline Rd, Freeville RD 2, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack at her home on Sunday, May 8, 1966. She was born in Harrisburg, Pa, Sep 6, 1905. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Hile Bottoff and has been a resident of the Cortland area for most of her life. Surviving are her husband, Frank Armstrong; two sons, Nelson Schemerhorn of Cortland and E H Brown of Homer; four daughters, Mrs Mary Knickerbacker of Homer; Mrs Doris Marcey of East Homer, Mrs Phyllis Sutfin of Freeville and Mrs Virginia Teeter of Groton; two sisters, Mrs Josephine Tifft and Mrs Ethel Cornell, both of Cortland; four brothers, Theoris, Russell and Walter Bottoff, all of Homer, and Howard of Cortland; 15 grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Mrs. Emma Ticknor of Marathon. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesdsay in the Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden. The Rev Donald Price of the Caroline Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Bearers were William Boak, Ralph Whittier, Herbert W. Brecht, Frank Howser, Lawrence Crispell, and Wilber Genung.
