A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at her home. She was 62. She owned Section Road AG and formerly owned Major's AG on False River. She attended St. Gerard Majella Catholic School, under the guidance of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and Redemptorist Priests. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, J.C. "Pete" Perot; son, Brody Karl Britt; stepdaughter, Kristi Miller and her husband, Jeff; sisters, Sharon Mix Theriot and her husband, Ferdinand, and Kermit Mix Richard and her husband, Joseph. She is also survived by her nieces, Cherié Hardin and her husband, David, Rosalind Willard and her husband, Sam, and Rachelle Richard; grandchildren, Kayla Alyce Britt, Kory Austin White and Luke and Finn Miller; and great-grandchild, Braelyn Marie Britt; great-nephews, Dillon Smiley and Seth Willard; and great-niece, Kendall Willard. Preceded in death by her parents, Kermit Thomas Mix and Dorothy Whitehead Mix; and daughter, Jeanné Britt White. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon, with the Rev Paul Yi, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She loved her family and friends and was such a giving person to her Pointe Coupee community. Pallbearers will be Brody Britt, Kevin McCleary, Donnie Jarreau, Derrick Jarreau, Kory White and Dillon Smiley. Special thanks are expressed to Sister Dolce, Hospice of Baton Rouge and Tara Bishop.
