A graveside service for Ethel Emily Woodall, 95, of Courtland Road N.W., Roanoke, who died Aug. 16, 2009, at the Friendship Health and Rehab Center in Roanoke, will be at 11 a.m. today at the State Line Primitive Baptist Church cemetery with Kelly Ratcliff officiating.

The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.

Memorials may be made to a charity or organization of the donor's choice.

Woodall was born May 31, 1914, in Stokes, N.C., to Joshua and Chanie Slate Flippin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Preston Woodall; two sisters; and six brothers.

She retired after several years as assistant activities director at Raleigh Court Health Care in Roanoke, and she was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a son, David Woodall of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews in Virginia and North Carolina.

Community Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of arrangements.
