HEPPNER - Beth V. Bryant, 90, of Heppner died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Pioneer Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 at the United Methodist Church in Heppner. A private graveside will be held at the Heppner Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Bryant was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Lexington to Arthur and Izora Wilkerson Vance. She spent her childhood in the Heppner area, graduating from Heppner High School in 1937. She married Howard Bryant in 1940 in Heppner.

She was a secretary for Caterpillar Tractor Company for many years, and was also a homemaker.

Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband of 68 years, Howard Bryant of Heppner; sister Berdine Tullis of Hermiston; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lois Johnston; and brother Arthur Vance.
