Paul was born Jan. 25, 1936, in Lingle Wyo. and was a long time resident of Greenfield. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who went to heaven. He was in the state of grace and received the full Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Paul battled many illnesses and his sufferings have been turned to joy. To God be the Glory!
Paul was a retired clerk from Safeway and was in the military serving his country for eleven years and meriting several commendations. He held a lifetime technical teaching credential as a body and fender instructor. He worked as a salesman for the Salinas Meat company and spent his life working hard jobs and loving the opportunity to provide for his family.
Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and was a past commander. He was a member in the Past Commanders Legion and the 40 and 8. He spent many years volunteering for the Pop Warner and Little League of Greenfield. Also, Paul was a past president of the Little League for the Salinas Valley and was a coach for the girls softball team of Greenfield.
Paul served many years on the City Council of Greenfield and was Mayor Pro-Tem. He was instrumental in the accomplishment of several civic projects and was most proud of his work for the establishment of Patriot Park.
While he did earn several titles throughout his life, his favorite was that of "Tata" as he was known by his beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An avid San Francisco 49ers fan , we know that he will see to it they have a better season this year. While he will be missed by many we would never want to rob him of his glory that he now experiences in the presence of the Lord. Good job Tata!
