Mrs. Carlson died June 12, 2000, at Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove.
She was born Jan. 29, 1907, in Norfolk to Herman and Emma (Haase) Wachter. She grew up on a farm north of Norfolk and received her education at St. Paul Lutheran School and Norfolk schools. She and Carl Carlson were married May 29, 1936. The couple operated Carl’s Store in Lindsay and sold insurance. In 1944 they moved to a farm south of Lindsay.
Mrs. Carlson worked as a teller at the Bank of Lindsay from 1970 to 1978. She was a member of the church, its organizations and P.E.O.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Roland Goodman, Clarkson; a son, Charles, Gig Harbor, Wash.; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and two brothers.
