Mrs. Cora Boykin Dies at Age 84

Mrs. Cora Lee Boykin, 84, widow of the late George Boykin, died at 10 am, April 28, at the Floy Dyer Extended Care Center.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 pm, April 29, at the Wake Forest Church with interment in the Wake Forest Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home was in charge.

Pallbearers were: Howard White, Guy Vaughn, Rex Johnson, Aaron Martin, Morris Wright and Wayne Johnson.

Mrs. Boykin was a native of Chickasaw county. She was born Feb. 10, 1887, the daughter of Joel Johnson and Elizabeth Durham Johnson. She resided on route 1, Mantee.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Una Vaughn of Mantee, and a number of nieces and nephews.
