Surviving are his wife, Gloria; daughter, Alexandria Edwards; mother, Edith; and sisters, Betsy Wilkinson and Tina Bahlool.
Services 1 p.m. Thursday at Short Funeral Home, burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from noon Thursday. Memorials may be made to Gloria Edwards at the First Bank.

He was born May 14, 1965 in Andrew, TX the son of Claude and Edith (Brothers) Edwards.
He married Gloria Nettleton, November 13, 1987 at the Church of God in Mt. Carmel, IL, and she survives.
Ron's hobbies included classic cars, fishing and singing.
He is survived by spouse; mother; daughter, Alexandria Edwards of Mt. Carmel; two sisters, Betsy Wilkinson and husband Paul Allen of Decker, IN and Tina Bahlool and husband Asaad of Terra Haute, IN; sister-in-laws, Patricia Bobbitt and husband Charles of Loomis, CA, Paulette Cole and husband Tim of Moorehead City, N.C., Debbie McClurg of Citrus Heights, CA, Jeanie Lofton and husband Lee of Mt. Carmel, and Jeanette Soden and husband Colin of Mt. Carmel; brother-in-laws, Paul Godsey and wife Patty, John Godsey, and Vernon Godsey; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father; Aunt Betty Brothers of Mt. Carmel and Aunt Mary Lou Brothers of Princeton, IN.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the chapel of Short Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 12 noon until the hour of service in the chapel of Short Funeral Home.
