Ellsworth L. Lemasters. 77, of
Greenwich, died Saturday at Edison
Health Care Center, Milan,
after a three-month illness.
Born in Smithfield, W.Va., he
was an Oberlin resident prior to
moving to Greenwich 12 years
ago.
Mr. Lemasters retired in 1970
after 21 years with Thew Shovel.
He had also worked more than
15 years at Oberlin Elevator.
He was a member of East
Oberlin Community Church and
Berlin Heights Conservation
Club.
Survivors include sons, Clair
of Elyria, and Louis of Plymouth;
a daughter, Waneta Dudley
of Vermilion; eight grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren;
sisters, Myrtle Spencer of
Maryland, and Katherine Shipman
of Fairmont, W.Va.
Kis wife, Edna, preceded him
in death in March 1989.
Friends will be received 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Cowling
Funeral Home, Oberlin.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday
in the funeral home followed
by burial in Camden Cemetery.
Contributions in memory of
Mr. Lemasters may be made to
American Cancer Society or to
East Oberlin Community
Church.
