George W. Becker, 54, a lifelong resident on Route 511 in the Camden area, died Friday at Allen Memorial Hospital, Oberlin, after a short illness.
He was a machine operator at Birmingham Metal Products and was also a farmer. Mr. Becker was a member of Camden Baptist Church, a charter member of Firelands Booster Club, and a Firelands High School Number 1 Fan. Surviving are his three
sisters, Kathryn Becker of Wellington, Wilma Yanick of Elyria, and Lois Metzger of Valley City; and a brother, Russell of Wellington.
Friends will be received at the Gerber Funeral Home,from 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Camden Baptist Church with Calvin Searles, pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Camden Baptist Church.
