OBITUARY:
L.D. (Lyle Dana) Wiegman is survived by his wife, Emily Marie Standridge Wiegman; children and their spouses, Sylvandia Marie & Roy Robertson of Duncanville, Texas, Glenn Dana & Shadley Wiegman of McMinnville, Oregon, Julia Elizabeth & Tim Warkentin of McLoud, Oklahoma, Rev. Chalmer Roger & Judi Wiegman of Olathe, Kansas, William Birdette & Kaye Wiegman of Richardson, Texas, Dee Lores & Wayne Stephens of Yukon, Oklahoma, Wynema Jan & Mark Sims of Spokane, Washington and Dr. Ralph Thane & Karen Wiegman of Grand Prairie, Texas; 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 9 step-grandchildren; sister, Christel Christy of Carthage, Missouri; brothers, Roy Wiegman of Austin, Texas and Floyd Wiegman of Orlando, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews. L.D. was preceded in death by two brothers, two infant granddaughter, and one daughter-in-law.
He was born on May 18, 1914 in Groom, Texas. He attended Bethany Peniel College, now Southern Nazarene University, in Bethany, Oklahoma where he met his wife, Marie. Last Saturday, June 3rd, they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.
He farmed at Claude, Texas and worked in the Amarillo, Texas area for over 50 years. In 1984, at the age of 70, they moved to a small ranch near Canton, Texas. It was PaPa Dee's desire to die while on the LDW ranch. God granted his request and on Tuesday, June 6th PaPa Dee left us all here below to meet His Savior, face to face, at age 81. He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene.
