FALL FROM CLIFF NEAR LAUREL LAKE KILLS 26 YEAR OLD CORBIN MAN
Roger Dale French, 26, was walking with several friends about 3 am when he slipped from the cliff and landed on rocks a few yards from the lake, said Laurel County Deputy Coroner, Doug Bowling.
French was pronounced dead of head injuries about 4:30 am, Bowling said. French was an employee of Certain-Teed Corp.
His survivors include his wife, the former Denise Jones; a son, Jason M French; his father, Omer C French of Connersville, Indiana; his mother, Brenda French; four brothers, Everett and Chad French, both of Connersville, Indiana, and Omer and Tim French; four sisters, Denice Reed of Germany, Patricia Gray of Laurel, Indiana, Cheryl Bush of Connersville and Angela French; and his grandparents, John and Evelyn Hibbard of Corbin and Lovely French of Laurel, Indiana.
The funeral will be at 2 pm tomorrow at Vankirk funeral Home, with burial in McFarland Cemetery, West Corbin. Visitation will be after 5 pm today.
