WALKER, W. Allen, 89, of Manchester, Tennessee died Monday, March 2, 1998 following a brief illness at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, Terinessee. A native of Manchester he was the son of the late Joe. W. Walker and Mae Williams Walker. He was retired from Chrysler Dealer, farmer, and founding father of Tennessee Walking Horse Industry. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Manchester. He is survived by his wife, Fannie Dai Walker, Manchester; one son, David Allen Walker, Memphis; Tennessee; two brothers, Charles] Porter Walker, Mahchester, Ervin Long Walker, Winchester; and one grandchild, Wendy Walker, Memphis. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 5, 1998 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel Bro. Lynwood Mathis officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Coffee County, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to Harding University Graduate School of Religion Endowment Scholarship Allen and Fannie Dai Walker Fund in Memphis, Tennessee. Coffee County Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
