Mrs. Alice Brown Brooks, secretary at St. Mary's Catholic Church about the last 14 years and formerly, for many years an employee of W.E. Richmond Cotton Co., died yesterday at St. Joseph Hospital. She was 79.
Mrs. Brooks lived at 19 S. Tucker, was a communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church and formerly was very active in volunteer work there.
She leaves her son, J.A. Brooks of Amory, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, including Mrs. Ed Carl-lee Jr. of Memphis, and nine great-grandchildren.
