Elkhart Rites For Mr. Durnell
Calvin W. Durnell
Calvin W. Durnell, 66, of Route 1, Elkhart, died September 3, 1974 in a Palestine hospital following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Elkhart,with the Rev. David Hill and the Rev. U. Van Sickle officiating. Burial was in the Pilgrim Cemetery, Elkhart.
Active pallbearers were George Cheatham, Lewis Franklin, Clayton Parker,Joe Bailey Parker, Jack Gibson, Jack Taylor, Willard Waddell and Victor Waddell.
In addition to all friends of the family, the following were designated homorary pallbearers. Dave Davidson, E. J. Hopkins, Ronald burke, Walter Holland, Claude Douthif.

Mr. Durnell was born in the Antrim community of Houston County on February 29, 1908 to John Durnell and Maude McCutchen Durnell. A resident of Elkhart most of his life,
he was a member of the First Baptist Church,
