ABARR - Herbert Harold Abarr, of 644 Sisters View Avenue, Eugene, died January 27, 1977 in a local hospital. He was born December 10, 1897 in Santa Cruz, California. He was married to Eileen Doris Shelton on August 13, 1927 in California. He had worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 52 years, and had lived in this community since 1942. He was a member of the Liberty Lodge No. 171 AF&AM. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, of Eugene; 3 sons: Thomas (Harold) Abarr of Springfield, Herbert E. Abarr of Eugene and Charles M. Abarr, of Germany; 1 daughter, Susan Marie McMahon, of Sunnyvale, California; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Richard D. Abarr, of Iron Mountain, Michigan; 1 sister, Katherine Downing of Willow Creek, California. Concluding services will be held Saturday, January 29th at 11 a.m. in BUELL CHAPEL. Pastor Clifford Emery, of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Ritualistic services, by Liberty Lodge No. 171 AF&AM. Cremation in Buell Chapel Crematorium.
