Braxton Rigby Saunders, 7, of Newton, Utah passed away Saturday, March 11, at his home.

He was born Feb. 17, 1999 on his Great Grandma Rigby's birthday in Logan, Utah, a son of Brandy (Rigby) and Kristopher Kurtis Saunders of Newton, Utah.

Braxton loved music, Blues Clues, Sponge Bob, and swimming. Braxton was a big flirt. He loved to be with his family and had a huge smile and a big laugh.

Braxton was involved in Cache Kids Pediatric Therapy for over 5 years and made some of his best friends there.

Braxton lived in Logan, North Logan, and Newton, Utah.

Braxton went to Park Elementary Preschool in Richmond, Sunrise Elementary for kindergarten in Smithfield, and North Park Elementary for first grade in North Logan. Braxton loved to ride the school bus.

Braxton is survived by his parents Brandy and Kris Saunders; 1 brother Kyler Kristopher Saunders, 1 sister Hailey Arlene Saunders; grandparents Alice and Kurtis Saunders, Delia and Michael Looslee, Jeannette and Randall Rigby; great-grandparents Murray and Arlene Rigby, Callie and Kenneth Bliss, Merlin and Venna Saunders; aunts, uncles, and cousins Jeff, Angie, Kaylie, and Dallin Saunders; Jeremy and Cindy Saunders; Jessica Cully, Jennifer Moralez, Wendy (Saunders), Jared, Alee Jackson Steakbake, Chad, Sarah, Aiden Saunders. Sabrina (Rigby) Richard, Tyson, Jaden Peterson, Steven and Tierra Rigby.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 15 at the Newton 2nd Ward Chapel, 90 South 100 West in Newton. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14 at the church in Newton, and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Newton Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family by going to Allen Mortuaries.

A special thank you to the many dedicated and wonderful caretakers that Braxton had for his 7 years on earth. To defray the cost of the funeral, donations can be made at Deseret First Credit Union under Braxton Saunders name.
