Born at Juniper Poodles in North Jersey.

Jim Bob was a beautiful brown poodle with a red nose.

Jim Bob was very sensitive to touch, especially around his face, ears, legs, tail and body. If you were not careful while grooming he could bite your finger off! I'm not sure why, but we loved him in spite of himself. He gave me several nasty bites but at least two had to be treated with strong antibiotics. My doctor wanted to hospitalize me for one of those bites and wanted him put down. I would not hear of it; you don't just get rid of a child because they have misbehaved.

As mean as he was, we loved that cuddly old dog. He loved being held and carried. At one time he had a bed on top of my desk, right under the swing-arm lamp where it was nice and warm. He stunk worse than a skunk because he wouldn't let us clean his ears or mouth. Don't ask me why but we loved that stinky, crotchety old beast.

Still do. Miss him every day!

As Jim Bob aged, he lost most of his hair except for his head and ears. Winters were terribly cold for him so I made him 'clothes' out of our old jogging pants. I cut each leg just below the knee then cut through the elastic at the ankle. I cut two round holes for his front legs near the ankle. I cut the bottom of the sweater so he could pee. Jim Bob loved those sweaters! When he saw them he pranced and climbed up in my lap to get dressed. He was very ugly so it's a good thing love isn't measured the same way.

We think of Jim Bob often and there is never a time he's mentioned that we don't smile and tell stories about him.

We miss him. He was an important part of our family and in my girls lives. They swear that he was the best toy we ever got for them.

We think all dogs do go to heaven.
