CICON – Anna Mae, 84, of Johnstown, died Aug. 14, 2009, due to complications of pneumonia at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born May 11, 1925, in Johnstown, daughter of George and Mary (Utlak) Teplica. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank P. Cicon; brothers, George Teplitza and John Teplica; sister, Elizabeth Livingston; and infant siblings, Martha and William. Survived by daughters, Melanie Cicon; Michelle, married to Bill Witty; and Maree-Lynn Cicon. A sister of Mary Tirpak and Michael Teplica, both of Johnstown; Joseph Teplica, Maryland; and Yolanda DeFazio, Florida. Also survived by in-laws, Betty Teplitza, Irene Chovanec, Barbara Jartin and Anthony Twardziak, and bestfriend, Anna Marie Gorka, who was like a sister to her. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Anna Mae enjoyed reading, crafts, the arts and her home. Recognized for her mastery of ethnic foods, homemade candy and baked goods, especially her elaborately decorated cookies, which she truly enjoyed sharing with family and friends. A member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, where funeral liturgy will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., the Rev. Msgr. Raymond Balta. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. Friends received Monday from 2-8 p.m. at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Broad Street, where Parastas will be held 7 p.m. Monday evening. Her daughters would like to thank Indiana Regional Medical Center ICU and St. Andrews Village in Indiana, PA, for their care and compassion. Donations may be made to the Flight 93 Memorial Fund in memory of Anna Mae Cicon.
