James Bennett, 58, Keystone, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at his home in Keystone.

He was born August 8, 1949 in Shattuck, OK to Wesley M. and Louise L. (Phillips) Bennett. He later moved to South Dakota with his family where he was raised.

James worked various jobs in the Keystone area including at the Ruby House, Keystone and the Gas Light, Rockerville.

He was a member of the volunteer fire department and enjoyed playing pool.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Nancy (Roger) Gohsman, Keystone, Kathy (Mark) Buttwell, Port Orchard, WA; a nephew, Mark Gohsman, Keystone; 3 nieces, Sabrina Johnson, Alexandria, Lynette Gohsman (Kevin Moran), Hot Springs, Dawn Gohsman (Dante Foye), Rapid City; great-nephews and nieces, Amanda Gohsman, Mesa, AZ, Angela Merrill, Kimberly Merrill, Kyle Moran all of Hot Springs, Michael D'Alesandro, Devan D'Alesandro, Enisha Foye, Tyrehl Foye all of Rapid City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Baum of Faith Lutheran Church as officiant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Keystone.
