Funeral services for Mr. Dwain Leo Howington, Sr., 70, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 12, 2007, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Dye and Rev. David Worthington officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Howington passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church, AICPA, and Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Howington was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who lived his life as a faithful servant of God. He loved spending his time with his family and was blessed to have many friends. He was a graduate of ULM and recently retired from CenturyTel as the Corporate Tax Manager. He was preceded in death by his father, Laura Oscar Howington; and brother, Marshall D. Howington

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Louella (Lou) Howington; sons, Dwain Leo Howington, Jr. and wife Karen, Jeffrey Vance Howington and wife Beth, Donald Wayne Howington, and Ronald Lane Howington and wife Natalie; daughter, Tammy Lou Cheney and husband Robert; nine grandchildren, Caroline and Connor Howington, Matthew and Courtney Howington, Joshua and Madison Cheney, Tomas Howington, and Ashlyn and Grayson Howington; mother, Emma D. Howington; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Murray Howington, Jerry Barnes, Ralph McMickle, Dr. Tommy Hodge, AJ Burlew, and Bill May. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Murphy, and the Encouragers Class of North Monroe Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Memorials may be made to North Monroe Baptist Church, or to ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) Association.
