Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Moran (Marcia) Stetler of Willshire, Ohio; Mrs. Harlan (Betty) Sheets of Lake Placid, Florida; Shirley Adams of Fort Wayne and Wanda J. Eyanson of Decatur; 21 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Barbara Garner; two sons, Paul and Ronnie Garner; a foster son, Eddie Lewton and two granddaughters are deceased.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, with burial in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Preferred memorials are to the Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana, located in Berne.

Velma J. Garner, 96, of Decatur, a Wells County native, died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Woodcrest of Decatur.

Surviving are daughters Marcia Stetler of Wilshire , Ohio , Betty Sheets of Lake Placid, Fla., Shirley Adams of Fort Wayne and Wanda J. Eyanson of Decatur ; 21 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Paul W., a daughter, Barbara Garner, sons Paul and Ronnie, and a foster son, Eddie Lewton, preceded her in death.
Services are 1:30 Saturday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, with calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery , Decatur .
Memorials are to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
