George Miller, a well-known retired farmer, died at 3:30 o'clock yesterday morning at his home near Goods Mill. He had been in failing health for about a year, but had been seriously ill only one week. Pneumonia developed several days ago, following a severe cold.

Mr. Miller was the son of the late Daniel Miller, of Goods Mill. His age was seventy-five years, ten months and twenty-four days, his birthdate being February 20, 1841.
His wife, who survives, was Miss Sallie Whitmore. They were married more than fifty years ago.

For many years, Mr. Miller had been an active member of the Church of the Brethren. He took a great interest in religious and charitable affairs, and was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of the Goods Mill section.

Surviving Mr. Miller, besides his wife, are, nine children, Luther Miller, of Norborne, Mo.; John F. Miller, of Port Republic Thomas Miller of Basic City; Dr. Ernest Miller, of Waynesboro; Charles Mlller, of Goods Mill; Joseph Miller, of Port Republic; Herman Miller, of Lynchburg; Mrs. J. W. Showalter, of Cave Station, and Mrs. W. C. Hoover, of Timberville. Mr. Miller was the last surviving member of his father's family.

The funeral party will meet at the residence Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Funeral services will be held from the Mill Creek Church of the Brethren at 11 o'clock, and will be conducted by Elder H. C. Early. Interment will be in the Mill Creek Cemetery.

Those who will act as pallbearers are John Bowman, Charles Shirey, John S. Good, S. O. Arey, George Argenbright, Jackson Long, L. I. Good and S. M. Hartman.
