Adams lived in Borger from 1947 until he moved to Amarillo in 1973 where he was employed with Bechtel Corp.
He was born Dec. 11, 1914 in Hugo, Okla. and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leatries of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Alan Overall of Borger; five sisters, Mrs. Hettie Jecks of Missouri, Mrs. Ida Ellis of Temple, Mrs. Gertie Harvey and Mrs. Bessie Lakey, both of Bonham and Mrs. Esta Lee Moss of Durant, Okla.

Funeral services for Ernest J. Adams, 59, of 1101 Channing in Amarillo, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetary [sic] under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home of Borger.
Adams, a longtime Borger resident until he moved to Amarillo last year, died at 9 a.m. Sunday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.
Survivors include his wife, Leatries of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Alan Overall of Borger; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Tommy Gariepy of Borger, Mrs. Betty Henderson of Amarillo and Mary Essary of Austin; five sisters and three grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Gailon Merrill, Ted Merrill, Loyzert [sic] Stewart, Roy Carr, Bill Curry and Bobby Bayliff.
