I am his youngest daughter, Cathy. All my life I remember Daddy talking about his adoption by a woman in Ky. because he was born to a woman who worked a river boat and when he was born, his mama left him on the Ky. side of the river.
He never had a birth certificate. His adopted mama brought him to Houston, Tx. because she thought he would have a better life in Tx than in Ky. He married our Mama, Myrl Louise Stone and they had 3 daughters. I am the baby of this trio.
My oldest sister, June (9/19/1939), who lives in Wisconsin, met and married Marley Chesky (we called him Mike)while he was stationed in Texas in the Navy. They were blessed with three sons.

~John David "J.D." Gaddis her only child and our only grandchild, was killed 11/3/2008, when he was 16 years old. I want to thank you if you feel led to visit him and leave tokens, it is much appreciated by his family.
