Sadie Wyma was born on November 8, 1926, at Sully, Iowa. She was one of nine children that were born to Henry and Effie Spoelstra Wyma.The family then moved to Leighton, Iowa and later to Pella, Iowa where she attended the Pella Christian Grade School. When Sadie was a young girl she was employed at the Rolscreen Company in Pella. On September 5, 1946, she was united in marriage with Kenneth Raymond Fowler and to this union two children were born: Sandra Kay and Ronald Dean. Sadie and Kenneth lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan until returning to Iowa where they lived in various areas in Mahaska County. Kenneth farmed in these areas and was employed at John Deere in Ottumwa, Iowa. Kenneth passed away in 1959 at the age of just 32 years. On August 3, 1962, Sadie was united in marriage with James Kamerick. Sadie and James lived in Urbandale, Iowa until returning to Pella in 1976. James passed away in 1997. Sadie was a faithful homemaker all these years and continued to live in Pella. For the past five years Sadie had made her home with her daughter, Sandra Kamerick, in Wichita, Kansas, who faithfully assisted her with her physical needs. On Friday afternoon, April 25, 2008, Sadie passed away at the Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas following a massive brain attack she suffered earlier that day. She attained the age of 81 years, 5 months and 17 days. Sadie is survived by her two children: Sandra K. Kamerick of Wichita, Kansas and Ronald D. Fowler of Benton, Kansas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Patricia Elaine (Kamerick) and her husband, Lance Ellis, and their two daughters: Britney and Krista; Kenneth Steven Kamerick; Matthew Dean Kamerick and his wife, Megan, and their son, Creag. Of her original family Sadie now leaves just three sisters: Charlotte (Brouwer Roorda) LeRette of Pella; Dorothy and her husband, Carl Mitchell of Wyoming, Michigan; and Betty and her husband, Loren Williams of Knoxville, Iowa. Sadie's family also includes the following brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dwight and Lavonne Fowler living in Washington, Lucille Mann of Delta, Iowa, Doyle and Betty Fowler living in Oregon, Dale and Phyllis Fowler of Delta, Iowa; and Geraldine (Kamerick) Van Kalkeren of Pella, Iowa. Sadie was preceded in death by her husbands: Kenneth Fowler and James Kamerick; her parents, Henry and Effie Wyma; her three brothers: Henry Wyma, Albert Wyma and Cornelius Wyma and his wife, Wilma; two sisters: Anna Van Maaren and her husband, Elmer, Shirley Dhaene and her husband, Carl; and three brothers-in-law: Henry Brouwer, Edward Roorda and Howard LeRette. Sadie was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa.
