Dorothy M. Hill, age 96, of Topeka passed away Friday, August 14, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. Dorothy was born October 22, 1912 in Burlingame, KS the daughter of Otto Godderz and Dorthea Meyers Godderz.
She worked at the Moose Lodge for over 15 years.
She is survived by two sons, Loren G. Hill of Hoyt, KS and Donald J. Hill of Ozawkie, KS; three daughters, Donna Svendsen of Kalispell, MT, Diana K. Hook of Silver Lake, KS and Denise C. Appelhanz of Topeka; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Prairie Home Cemetery in the Menoken Township.
She will lie in state Monday from noon 5 at the Davidson Funeral Home. As requested by Dorothy, her casket will remain closed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
